The Utica City School District has announced they plan to return most of their students to full-time in-person learning starting April 12. The plan was approved by the Utica City School Board on Tuesday.

According to a press release from the district, the transition to full-time will include elementary kindergarten through sixth grade students, middle schoolers in seventh and eighth grade, and juniors and seniors at the high school.

The district says that ninth and tenth graders will join the rest if the pilot return program goes well with the older high school students.

Students returning to full-time will follow their typical schedule, and parents will have the option for their kids to maintain remote education.
