Syracuse University will allow 900 students to attend Saturday's men's lacrosse game against the University of Vermont at the Carrier Dome, according to a statement released by the university on Thursday. The reopening plan was approved by the state last night.

According to the statement, students must undergo COVID-19 screening 24 hours prior to the event, as well as produce a negative rapid test upon entering the facility that day.

Students who are season ticket holders will have priority to one of the coveted spots.

With this Saturday's game, SU is set to become the first major college sports arena in New York to pilot a reopening plan.
