There's going to be a few people displaced after a fire at an apartment complex in Eastwood.

Syracuse firefighters were called to the Grant Village Apartments just before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.

When they first arrived, there was smoke pouring from the windows. Fire crews saw visible fire from at least two apartments and through the building's roof. There were close to 50 firefighters on the scene.

Firefighters were able to rescue two teenagers through a second floor window. It took fire crews nearly an hour to get the fire under control and there was extensive damage to the building.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and two people were treated at the scene.

Some people were able to return to their homes, but there has been no word yet on how many were displaced. Displaced individuals are being aided by the American Red Cross with temporary shelter and other needs.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
