Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced city-wide furloghs to off-set losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are four dates in all — October 30 and November 20, 2020, as well as May 7 and June 25, 2021.
City administrative offices will close, but all emergency services and essential operations will continue to be delivered.
Trash and recycling pickups will also stay on schedule.
The furlough days could save the city nearly $2 million.
The final of five unions impacted by the move will vote on the plan Tuesday.
