While hundreds of boaters took over Oneida Lake Saturday to show support for President Trump, the flotilla didn't completely go as planned, as a handful of participants had to be rescued from a boat during the rally.

Oneida County's sheriff says a pontoon boat was significantly damaged, causing waves to wash over it. Deputies helped six of the seven passengers onto their boat, while one person stayed on board to steer the boat while it was towed back to shore.

Deputies say a strong squall hit the lake, causing 4 to 5 foot waves.

Nobody was hurt.
