There's a high demand for house buyers in Broome County, but a historically low amount of houses listed.

Real Estate agent Andrea Brown says one of her listed properties had an offer accepted within three hours of its listing.

Brown says Broome County has fewer than 600 houses listed, which makes for a highly competitive market. It's something that hasn't happened in decades.

"It's all about the pricing. And it's all about supply and demand, and right now we have a low supply and high demand. That's because of low interest rates, it's like free money for people. If you're a cash buyer, I encourage you to use the bank's money," said Brown.

Brown advises buyers to stay patient and make appealing offers to sellers.
