Two men are accusing Syracuse University of harboring a sexual predator in the 1980s.

Robert Druger and John Shapiro filed Child Victims Act lawsuits against SU for negligence. They say a former Olympian sexually assaulted them in a dorm and university employees witnessed inappropriate touching and did nothing, according to court papers.

Conrad Mainwaring had minors stay overnight while he was a resident advisor, according to a lawsuit filed in Onondaga County Court on Tuesday. Mainwaring worked with track athletes in Central New York from 1980-86. During that time, he sexually preyed on young men and said it was physical therapy, according to court papers.

One of the lawsuits also accuses Syracuse City School District of negligence. It says Mainwaring abused teen boys in a locked office at Nottingham High School and school district officials did nothing.

There is no record of him working in the Syracuse city schools, Spectrum News was told.
