The school set the goal of collecting 950 brand new blankets for students. After reaching out to the community and making an amazon wish list, donations poured in from businesses, individuals and online donors as far as Israel.

"The needs of the community are more than just a blanket but starting small and doing one small gesture, it's going to go a long way," said at Frazer School Community Schools Coordinator Lynette Spencer.
Fraser School said they wanted to make sure students got brand new blankets so they could open them like gifts and know they're for them, "There's just that feeling of love, happiness, compassion as you hand out blankets," said Principal Latrina Brumfield.
Since the school collected so many blankets, they were also able to give blankets to students at Delaware Academy, Oasis Academy and STEM at Blodgett.
