Destiny USA is increasing security in the wake of a Black Friday shooting. The mall is working with both the city of Syracuse and Onondaga County on new measures.

The shooting happened in the food court, and the mall was evacuated in the middle of a busy shopping night. Mall owners say their response worked as planned, but they're now taking additional steps.

Most visible will be increased patrols by Syracuse police officers and Onondaga County probation officers.

The mall didn't detail other enhanced measures, but a spokesperson says there is more that will not be visible to the public.
