While the best color is in the rear view mirror for many, especially across the higher terrain, areas across western and Central New York will be enjoying near peak to peak color this weekend.

Alex Kelly: Keene Valley, NY- 10/20/19

There has been a lot of leaf drop across the Adirondacks in the past week. As show in this picture, snow from last week's nor'easter is still hanging on above 3,500 feet. While the best of the color is gone across the Adirondack park, the southern Adirondacks and foothills should still have some decent scenes worth taking in this weekend.

Kamana Devkota: John Boyd Thacher State Park- 10/19/19

Heading down the Northway into the Saratoga/Capital Region, while past peak, there are lots of leaves still on the trees. A trip to Moreau, Thacher, or Grafton Lakes State Park should be pretty nice Saturday.

Emily- Hunter, NY- 10/21/19

Areas across the Catskills have also seen a good amount of leaf drop in the past week. Lower elevation spots like this shot from Kaaterskill Falls are still showing some nice color.

Rob Cee: Rhinebeck, NY- 10/21/19

The Taconics and lower Hudson Valley is where it's at heading into the weekend. Most spots are seeing peak to slightly past peak color.

Joseph F. Cucharale Jr: Utica, NY- 10/20/19

This weekend and the next will feature near peak to peak color for central and western New York. Expect areas from Utica to Syracuse to look like Joe's picture above.

Brady Hommel: Honeoye, NY- 10/22/19

A trip through Finger Lakes wine country will be beautiful this weekend as well. As you'll see in the forecast coming up soon, you may want to save the wine tasting for Sunday!

Beverly Reaume: Letchworth State Park- 10/18/19

The majority of western New York is seeing near peak to peak color right now. The one exception is areas around Jamestown and Ellicotville.

Before we get to the forecast, lets touch on the rest of New England real quick. Some beautiful color can still be had for the valleys in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Mike Girardi: Stowe, VT- 10/21/19

While still beautiful, more spots than not across the higher elevations are looking like this.

If you have a hike, gonodala ride, walk, or really any outdoor activity on your mind this weekend, do it Saturday. It's becoming increasingly more likely that Sunday will be an all day soaker. As always, if you have foliage pictures to share, we'd love to see them! Please share them with us on Facebook, Twitter, or send to ryan.finn@charter.com. Happy leaf peeping 🍁🍂🍃
