It was a somber atmosphere at a vigil in Utica for Bianca Devins, the Proctor graduate who was killed this past weekend.
More than 100 showed up to the vigil near the Parkway Community Center. All who attended came to support Bianca Devins’ family and friends as they remember her.
The family released a statement earlier today thanking the community for their prayers, thoughts and support.
Bianca was a talented artist, and a graduate from Proctor High School. She was planning to attend Mohawk valley Community college this fall.
Friends say her kindness was unique and they will always remember her. The large group ended the vigil by lighting a candle and singing songs to remember Bianca.
Organizers at the vigil say Bianca’s funeral will be Friday, July 19.
