A new face will soon be in charge of the West Genesee Central School District.

David Bills has been chosen as the district's new superintendent. He was one of three finalists for the position after Chris Brown left the job at the beginning of the year after an alleged scandal.

Bills joins West Genny with more than 30 years of educational experience, including 11 of those years as superintendent in Honeoye Central School District.

Following a bumpy year for the district, he hopes to bring a fresh start for parents and the school.

"It's moving forward and continuing traditions here in West Genessee, as well as creating new ones and continuing that excellence in pride,” Bills said.

Bills says he plans to strongly support teachers throughout the district.
