"Where we do have to put our cars, we're sitting in six inches to eight inches of water," said boat owner Erick King.

Wright's Landing Marina is flooded.

"It was actually worse yesterday," said Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow.

Lake Ontario's water levels are on the rise, expected to surpass highs seen 2 years ago.

"The water level is higher now than we saw back in 2017. In 2017 we didn't need to close the marina," said Mayor Barlow.

Make-shift docks and cones to notify of the flooding-- all attempts to keep the marina open. But the Oswego Mayor says the city has now exhausted all of its options.

"What we're asking is for tenant of the marina to try get out of the marina as soon as possible. We're willing to work with them and give them a timeline that suits them. We're not going to run around giving everybody tickets," said Mayor Barlow.

"It's a major inconvience for everyone and now there's no place to go, even if we pull our boats, the whole lake is in the same situation," said King.

It's unclear how much more the water levels will rise-- only time and mother nature will tell.

"It's really covering the entire waterfront area in the city and anyone who knows the city knows that's quite a big area," said Mayor Barlow.

But Mayor Barlow is hopeful that the marina could be open again by Harborfest.
