Three days after a fire in the Poland Central School, staff is returning Friday for a partial day as repairs continue.

However, the timetable for students to return is still up in the air. For the time being, they will be bused to other locations for certain programs.

Sports programs are still active and Saturday's school prom is on schedule. But the Grand March will be moved to West Canada Valley.

The district will not have to make up the missed days of class.

The fire started in the basement of the building in a storage area. The cause is under investigation.

The school's 6th-grade wing has the most smoke damage.
