A Syracuse man has been arrested and charged for his alleged role in his girlfriend’s death at their home over the weekend.
According to the Syracuse Police Department, officers responded to 325 Village Drive around 4:58 p.m. Sunday for a call of a shooting with injuries.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Sara Tombs, 22, with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tombs lived at the residence with her four-year-old daughter and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Darien Shellman.
Police said Shellman was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the second degree.
Tombs’ daughter was unharmed in the incident.
