Get ready for Food Truck Wednesdays.
Food truck owners learned Monday that the city of Syracuse announced a new partnership with the owners.
Beginning next month, there will be a food truck rally in downtown Syracuse every Wednesday. Six trucks will set up shop in Clinton Square from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Various vendors rotate every week, offering everything from pizza, tacos, burgers and chicken, to grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and more.
This is a first for downtown Syracuse and food truck owners are ready to start selling snacks.
"Every time we go somewhere, trucks go somewhere, we're getting, like, 'Why aren't you guys downtown? Why aren't there more trucks downtown? We never see you downtown.' It literally, is one of the top things that are said to food truck owners," said Nick Sanford of the Syracuse Food Truck Association.
The first food truck rally is Wednesday, May 1st. It's every week through the middle of September minus a few exceptions.
