With Woodstock 50 only a few months away, residents in Watkins Glen are voicing their concerns about safety with the large crowd expected to attend.
Hundreds showed up at the Old Watkins Glen Middle School for a public meeting held by the Schuyler County Legislature.
Public safety is one issue, especially after the last large Woodstock anniversary concert in Oneida County in 1999.
This year’s show co-creator Michael Lang said there is a finite amount of tickets and that that they won't let anyone in without one.
More safety sessions are planned as the show continues to inch closer.
“To deliver a level of reassurance to the community that this is being well planned, and a tremendous amount of resources are being deployed to insure that this is a safe and successful event,” said Schuyler County Administrator Tim O’Hearn.
The festival is scheduled to run from August 16 through August 18.
