UTICA, N.Y. -- The city of Utica is gearing up to tackle pothole repairs next week.
The work, weather permitting, will begin Monday and continue through April 15th. But the Department of Public Works needs help.
They are asking the public to report potholes through the Utica 311 app.
You can add photos of the potholes and include GPS coordinates so crews can quickly locate the problem areas. The App will also update you on the status of repairs.
Mayor Robert Palmieri said it's an important issue they are ready to tackle as soon as possible.
"If we have the opportunity we want to go there full force to make sure that we're taking care of the potholes because that is the biggest obstacle that we face out there once it does start melting because you actually see what the weather has brought us," Palmieri said.
If you don't want to use the App, you can call the DPW directly at (315) 738-1341.
