At this point, the bulk of the storm has passed and plows have made their way across Syracuse.

Crews had plenty of time to plan, so Spectrum News was told plows were ready to go when the snow started falling.

Since vehicles have GPS technology, their progress is tracked in real-time online.

"It allowed us to see where we were lacking on streets that needed to be plowed,” said Syracuse DPW Commissioner Jeremy Robinson. “We deployed some trucks over there to get the jobs done. Residents did call in to say 'hey we looked on the map and we saw our street wasn't plowed.' So we got a crew over there and got it done."

A reminder, when cars are parked on both sides of the road, plows can't always get through. So keep an eye out for signs that let you know which side of the road to use for parking, each night.
