Tompkins County state parks are ready for camping season, opening up more than a dozen new and renovated cabins.
The cabins will be open for campers May 18th. but they are already taking reservations.
14 cabins are available at Buttermilk Falls State Park and seven cabins are ready at Robert Treman State Park. The building and renovations are part of the governor’s Parks 2020 initiative.
It’s geared towards building or renovating more than 300 styles of cabins across the state in the next couple of years.
The cabins are going for around $60 a night. For information on how to make reservations you can go to www.parks.ny.gov.
