SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Super Bowl 52 is just days away, with the Eagles and Patriots set to face off Sunday.
The last time these teams played against each other in a Super Bowl was 13-years-ago when the Eagles were led by Syracuse University alum Donovan McNabb.
McNabb is known as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play for S.U. and had a highly successful career as a pro.
But, just last year, he was fired by ESPN as an analyst for alleged sexual harrassment.
He was also arrested twice for DUI since 2015. McNabb remains on S.U.'s Board of Trustees and is also an active donor.
Recent developments have not necessarily impacted how he's viewed by the public.
"I don't think it really tarnishes his reputation and what he did for the school and the football program here," said Syracuse University Junior John Boudreau. "Obviously, it's disappointing but when you're put in the public eye like that, it's difficult."
McNabb's number 5 jersey was retired by Syracuse University back in 2015.
S.U. did not comment on McNabb's current membership on the board of trustees.
