UTICA, N.Y. -- Fire officials in Utica are asking the public to avoid the area around Broad Street this afternoon, as firefighters there continue to battle hot spots.
A fire started at Pacemaker Millar Steel around 5:45 a.m.
Officials say the fire was put out and then rekindled around 10 a.m.
As a result of this fire, officials say East Utica residents may experience a drop in their gas pressure. Power was out for a short time in the area as well.
The cause is under investigation.
