Central New York is looking to start Phase 3 of New York’s reopening process on Friday, and it has some people hoping that the New York State Fair still has a chance in August.

June 1 was a big deadline for state fair vendor contracts, but that has now been extended. Fair officials say companies now have until July 15 because of COVID-19.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has said in the past that the entire state needs to be fully reopened in order for the fair to be open for the scheduled 18 days.
