Onondaga County officials are continuing their efforts to increase housing stock.
As the area is set for a population increase with the arrival of Micron in Clay, leaders are highlighting another recipient of the Onondaga County Housing Initiative Program (O-CHIP).
The old American Legion Eastwood Post is turning into 28 units of housing.
Known as the Taft, it's part of many different projects looking to make it easier to live in the county.
"There are large scale projects going on as well but the O-CHIP fund is really there to get these midsized projects over the goal line," Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said. "And the more units that come on line, that's going to bring more choice which will help from an affordability stand point."
McMahon announced more recipients of the housing grants.
In total, they are funding 393 housing units across the county through more than $1.7 million.
