The federal government has suspended all federal student loan payments through the end of January.

This means that anyone with student loan debt won't be required to make payments and their loans won't accrue interest.

Interest rates for student loans have also been kept at zero percent because of financial hardship resulting from the pandemic. All collection activity will also be halted during this time.

Any defaulted borrowers who continue to have their wages withheld will be receiving refunds.
