Authorities are investigating a homicide in Herkimer County.
According to New York State Police, troopers responded to Camp Road near the intersection of Goodier Road in the town of Litchfield around 5:35 a.m. Friday for a reported man laying in the roadway.
When they arrived, police found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was later identified as Akwen O. Ajang, 19, of Utica.
The investigation is currently ongoing. If anyone has information or may have heard or seen anything suspicious in the area of Camp Road and Goodier Road, they are asked to contact State Police at (315) 366-6000.
