A Syracuse man has been arrested for his role in last week's riot at the U.S. Capitol Building.
According to the FBI Office in Albany, Albert Ciarpelli was arrested Wednesday.
"The FBI respects and encourages the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights, but we simply will not tolerate anyone who chooses to ignore the law by inciting violence, destroying property, and injuring others," the bureau said in a statement.

There has been no word on what charges Ciarpelli is facing.
The FBI said they are thankful to the community for providing tips related to last week’s attack.
