Le Moyne College will require students to be fully vaccinated before returning in the fall.

The college announced that it will allow exemptions for medical or religious reasons. But most students are expected to get the shot before they come back in August.

This will apply to both graduate and undergraduate students.

The college says this decision was made with the health and safety of the student body in mind.

LeMoyne officials say they will help students get connected with an appointment before they go home for the summer, with help from the Onondaga County Health Department.

A decision has not been made as to whether faculty, administrators and staff will be required to be vaccinated. However, campus officials strongly encourage those groups to get the shot.
