New Yorkers continue to roll up their sleeves in an attempt to defeat COVID-19.

On Saturday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that more than five million residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

One million of those were administered in the last week, with more than 188,000 in the last 24 hours alone.

That means 25% of the state has received the first dose, and 13% of residents are fully vaccinated.

The state's distribution network and list of eligible individuals still far outweighs the allocation coming from the federal government, Cuomo added.

To check your status, you can use the Am I Eligible tool on the state's COVID website.
