Sunday marked a Syracuse community celebration of Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and a late local musician and football player.

The Jubilee Homes Southwest Showcase Sunday made a return after missing a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vendors filled the Spirit of Jubilee Park with free groceries and food giveaways.

The showcase highlights local businesses, organizations, artists, musicians and more.

“This is our 23rd year doing this," Jubilee Homes of Syracuse executive director Walt Dixie said. "Last year we didn’t do it because of COVID. But we’re happy to be out here participating in the Juneteenth celebration of Central New York.”

The showcase was in honor of the late Bobby Green, a musician, and Floyd Green, an All-American professional football player.

A proclamation was read in honor of the two.
