You may remember the summer of 2020 was a hot and dry one. In fact, we had 21 days with temperatures of 90 degrees or higher in Syracuse.

And on the cold side

On the flip side, after a mild and pleasant start to the spring season, it’s easy to forget the last time we experienced bitterly cold temperatures.

So when was the last time we had a below zero temperature? You have to go all the way back to February 15 when Syracuse had a low of -5.

The first time we had a temperature of at least 90 degrees last year was on May 26, when the high was 93. From this vantage point, models show that it will be quite some time before we experience summer-like heat again in Syracuse.
