SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: In 2012, retired Army Sergeant First Class Mike Hoplight was one of four Red Cross volunteers stationed in Afghanistan, helping to distribute communications and donations to soldiers in addition to hosting events to make the soldiers feel at home. After returning from Afghanistan, Sgt. Hoplight dedicated his time to aiding those who were affected by Superstorm Sandy. Currently, Sgt. Hoplight volunteers weekly at the Buffalo VA hospital and the No Veteran Dies Alone program.
