Fish Friar to Open Soon
Fish Friar's initial location in Solvay closed a week before Thanksgiving. Have no fear: They will be opening in the Courier Building on East Washington Street. It’s a block up from Syracuse City Hall. Fish Friar is expected to be open around March 16. If you went to the one in Solvay, it will have the same menu of haddock, shrimp and other items and they will have weekend specials.
Broken Highway Sign on I-81
If you’ve traveled to Cicero on I-81 northbound, you'll notice half of the highway sign is missing. A spokesperson with the state DOT said it was damaged following a car crash, but had no other details about the incident. The DOT has a contract to address this sign and it will go out to bid this month. It's unclear when the sign will be replaced.
