Windy conditions across much of the Northeast today with Wind Advisories in place with gusts up to 55 to 65 mph.
The lake effect snow machine returns to areas of the Great Lakes, including northeastern Ohio, northwestern Pennsylvania and western and central New York on Wednesday. Winter Storm and Lake Effect Snow Warnings are in place through Friday with snow totals up to 1 to 2 feet possible.
The next winter storm enters the west with Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings for parts of the Rockies.
High Temperatures Today
There are generally seasonable conditions for the Midwest today with cooler than normal air across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Cooler conditions filter in this weekend for the Eastern U.S. with below normal temperatures into early next week.
Low Temperatures Tonight
The Southeast U.S. is running below normal tonight with temperatures falling near freezing. It will turn colder this weekend.
Precipitation Outlook
Scattered and light mountain snow showers linger in New England and Maine on Thursday.
As colder air moves across the Great Lakes today, we'll see the lake effect snow machine kick into gear. From northeast Ohio to western New York, snowfall totals could approach 1 to 2 feet by the end of the week into the weekend.
