Officials in Niagara County provided an update on Saturday concerning the winter storm.
Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti, and Jonathan Schultz, the director of Niagara County Emergency Services, discussed how their teams are holding up, the status of rescue efforts and what people should do if they become stuck or stranded.
They also spoke on safety tips for residents riding out the storm.
The office of the mayor of Niagara Falls announced Saturday evening that the traffic ban in the city will continue into Christmas Day, citing “conditions that remain unsafe for driving.”
