Make sure you pack all the essentials as you head out to Orchard Park on Saturday because it will be COLD!

What You Need To Know

  • Saturday is going to be brutally cold

  • Kickoff temperature will sit near 5 degrees

  • By the end of the game, it will be near 0, but the Bills will be on fire!

Buffalonians are a hearty bunch, but this cold may even be too much for Western New Yorkers.

The high temperature on Saturday will barely top out in the double digits. By the time Buffalo Bills fans head out to tailgate, the temperature will fall into the single digits.

To stay out in that kind of cold, make sure you cover from head to toe!

The best clothing to wear is anything made of synthetic fabrics.

Moisture-wicking athletic gear is best because it does not hold on to sweat or wetness, meaning you will stay nice and dry.

Wearing layers of loose-fitting clothing also can help to insulate you because the air that gets trapped between layers of clothing will keep you warm longer.

Covering your head and ears is also crucial, as you lose a lot of your body heat through those body parts.

Now that we have the bad part of the forecast out of the way, let’s focus on the positives.

The wind will be light. That benefits us in two ways:

  1. Although it will still make it feel slightly cooler, it could be much worse. The wind will likely only climb between 5 – 10 mph, with gusts reaching near 15 mph.
  2. The players will not have to battle against the breeze for punts or catches. This means the weather won't influence Josh Allen’s specialty, long passes.

Another perk is that there will be very little precipitation. During the day, we could see some flurries in Orchard Park, but by game time, it will be dry.

The second part of the weekend will warm up slightly, so if you’re still trying to thaw out, Sunday's sun and 'warmth' will help.

I want to know what you plan to do and wear to stay warm during this game.
