Lake snow bands will continue tonight with changeable road conditions and reduced visibility in falling snow. Winds will also continue to ease, but gusts over 30 mph will be commonplace throughout the night. With temps settling in the teens, wind chills will be running a little below zero. 3 to 6 inches is expected in the most persistent snow tonight.
Lake snow Tuesday morning will produce slick and slow travel locally for the commute. Otherwise, snow will gradually diminish through the morning. It will be breezy (not even close to as windy) and very cold with highs in the teens and wind chills around 0 most of the afternoon.
An area-wide 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected Wednesday which will slow the evening commute. Things quiet down a little for Thursday followed by another bit of light snow Thursday night. A few scattered snow showers will linger into Friday morning.
Temps will come up some for Friday and Saturday. A dose of wintry mix also looks likely to kick off the weekend. Colder air then looks to settle in for Sunday with scattered lake snow.
