DUNKIRK, N.Y. — Brooks Memorial Hospital has announced the site selected for its new hospital project.

The hospital's board of directors says the new location is behind the 3700 block of East Main Street in the Town of Pomfret.

The new location is approximately three miles from the current hospital.

The board chose it from more than two dozen potential locations.

A certificate of need was also filed for the project.

The review of the project, plus construction of the facility, is expected to take up to two years.
