CHEEKTOWAGA N.Y. — One local Veteran says that the Fourth of July is especially important to him and he shows his patriotism in a big way.
Edward Krier decorates his whole house, front to back, in Red, White and Blue. He has flags, statues and mannequins dressed as Marines amongst other things. Krier says that its important that he shows his pride not just for the memories but to honors those who have served past and present.
"I was in The Marines 50, 60 years ago and I know what these fellas are going through and I just want to honor them," Said Krier. "Especially those ones that made the sacrifice for our country and gave us the freedom we have and they deserve more credit and I'm about to give them all of the credit that I can give them."
Krier says that he welcomes people to stop by his home on Nokomis Parkway in Cheektowaga to share in the history.
