BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Sunday, tens of thousands of people are expected to be in Downtown Buffalo for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade, but Saturday, another parade took the spotlight for the Irish and the Irish at heart.
A sea of green made its way through the Old First Ward Saturday for the 22nd Annual "Old Neighborhood" Saint Patrick's Day Parade.
The event celebrates the Queen city's Irish heritage -- traveling through the historic Buffalo River community.
As always, this year's parade featured colorful floats, lots of music -- and fun for all ages.
"It'll always hold a special place in our heart down here,” said Maggie Leslie, a Buffalo resident. “It's not like going downtown at all. This is definitely, I'd pick this over going downtown any day."
