BUFFALO, N.Y. — Have you ever thought about how your dog could help track trafficked animals? What about helping protect the environment?

That’s the mission of Canine Champions for Conversation. It’s a nationwide dog stunt show that’s at the Buffalo Zoo.

Nine rescue dogs make up the cast. They’re trained by Samantha Valle. She holds a few Guinness world records for high jump, single jump rope and double dutch.

While the acts are incredible, there’s a greater message to them.

“There’s something special about dogs is everybody has dogs at home," said Christian Dobosiewicz of the Buffalo Zoo. "I think it's a great way that people can connect with animals and learn something about, you know, what dogs do for conservation and how, you know, they are, you know, kind of connected and represent ambassadors in the wild like wolves and coyotes and other canines.”

“We give a scent detection where I talk to the guest on how our dogs can help prevent the illegal trafficking of ivory or rhino horn and what the use of this amazing ability their noses," said Brandon Chin, a dog trainer with Stunt Dog Productions.

You can catch the show Wednesdays through Sundays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. through Labor Day.
