HAMBURG, N.Y. — After a two-year pause, Equifest is back at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.

Whether you're a serious rider or you just have a love for horses, the event has something for everyone.

Go on the ride of your life for the two-day event where you’ll see mustangs running with riders while they perform dizzying tricks.

There is horse yoga with ponies and mini horses. You can learn the latest technology on equine medicine and care techniques with experts right at your disposal.

Organizers say the free event usually sees around 8,000 people and they're grateful to be able to kick off a season of shows with the public after a long break.

"I grew up in the horse world," said Kirby Dygert, the event's coordinator. "I grew up showing reining horses and this show has kind of a soft spot in my heart because it's, it's needed. Our industry in New York and the surrounding states is big when it comes to the horse world. So it's something we have to do to give back to the equine community."

The fun runs from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
