BUFFALO, N.Y. — The celebration of St. Patrick's Day in Buffalo is one you won't find anywhere else.
It's a day officials say they've been waiting for all year long at the Buffalo Irish Center.
They're kicking things off with a 10:30 a.m. mass and a traditional Irish breakfast around 11:30 a.m.
Get a taste of the Emerald Isle with a special menu of corned beef and Blarney Stones at 1 p.m. and the melodic sounds of the Clann Na Cara Irish dancers starting at 4 p.m.
Officials say they are happy to have the chance to share the Irish history and culture, not only on Thursday, but all year long.
"We welcome everybody, you don't have to be Irish to come in here," said Vice Chair Randy McPhee. "Céad Míle Fáilte, 100,000 welcomes to everyone. Please come here and visit, we're delighted whenever we have company."
And the fun doesn't stop on St. Patrick's Day. The celebrations at the Buffalo Irish Center will continue throughout the week, wrapping up with the Old First Ward Parade Saturday and the big St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday.
