BUFFALO, N.Y. — Halloween is just days away and there is an indoor scream park right in Buffalo that's been recognized as one of the top haunted houses in the country.

There are five award-winning haunted attractions at Frightworld that have been mentioned by BuzzFeed and the Travel Channel, among others.

If you think the scares stop at Halloween, think again. Frightworld has some special events coming up that may send people screaming. Lights Out is happening on November 5 and 6 and it gives visitors a chance to explore the revamped haunted house on Hertel Avenue with only a glow stick and their gut to lead the way.

But before they pull out all the stops for the serious scares, there’s Little Frights with Lights this Saturday where the little kids can enjoy a scene more spooky than scary.

Although it’s a terrifying sight for most, organizers say they are dedicated to making it bigger, better and scarier every year.

“I absolutely love it," said Rochelle Finkelschtein, director of operations. "This has become all my life and just as much as it's my life, it's every employee's life. Everyone who works here really has a passion for Halloween and you can see it with the energy and feel it when you walk through the doors."

Fright World has special hours for Halloween week. It's open Wednesday and Thursday 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m and Friday- Saturday6:30 p.m until midnight. Halloween night and Lights Out will run 6:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
