BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Museum of Science has a new exhibit that encourages kids to explore the world around them through their senses.

SensERIE is a sensory space with a Queen City twist that takes visitors from the shores of Lake Erie to the calming trees of Tift Nature Preserve. Kids can build the Buffalo skyline with colorful Legos and plunge into the depths of the lake in a yellow submarine.

From the table of lights to the wonderful water table, museum officials say it's a way to introduce young children to stem in a fun educational way.

“STEM is really all about making observations and thinking critically and asking good questions and understanding what two things in the world are like each other and what things are different,” said President and CEO Marisa Wigglesworth

SensERIE is a permanent exhibit so visitors can come and explore all year round.
