The Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village reopened to the public this weekend.
Families were able to go on self-guided tours to learn a little bit about the past.
While current restrictions limit the number of people who can visit the village and have some of the exhibits closed, officials from the Heritage Village say it's still a great opportunity to mix up your daily routine.
"Especially right now, parents and families are looking for things to do with their kids that are not only going to get people out of the house, but are going to have that educational component," said Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village executive director Carrie Stiver. "We've all been kind of stuck inside for a while. And you know, parents are not teachers at the moment, so just having that additional element to all of our activities is going to help people take it to great what now is a part of our daily lives."
The Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is open Wednesday through Saturday.
You must buy your tickets online ahead of time to reserve a time slot.
