Former Sabres and Amerks defenseman Richie Dunn has passed away at age 59.
Dunn played parts of nine seasons with Buffalo, splitting time over his last five pro seasons with Rochester before retiring in 1990. He also spent time with Hartford and Calgary.
Most recently, Dunn was among the former NHL players who filed a class action lawsuit against the league over a lack of protection against concussions.
