BUFFALO, N.Y. - Jason Rowe remembers it all.
Scoring 2,286 points as a point guard for Buffalo Traditional, winning the 1996 NYSPHSAA Class C state title.
Setting the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record for steals in a career with 272 while at Loyola (MD).
Playing professionally overseas for 15 years, winning an Italian League championship and squaring off against Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Allen Iverson.
"We won. I think I had 17-18 points."
But now it is time for Eurowe's next step.
"I've been playing ball for 30 years and to able to compete at a high level, it takes a lot of work," Rowe said. "And I never wanted to be that old guy on the court limping and not being able to compete."
Now his basketball career is transitioning to telling others what Rowe knows, training kids back in the same place he learned the game that made him a career.
"There was a lot of people who helped me become a certain individual on and off the floor and I just want to return that favor," Rowe said. "So if I can take a kid and help him with his jump shot or just need a positive role model in his life, that's something I'm willing to do."
Jason Rowe is willing to help others while also reminding them that the soon-to-be 38 year old still is the king of the court.
"Anyone that knows me knows that I'm super competitive and I want to separate myself from those guys and let those guys know the old guy's still got it."
