TWC NEWS VIDEO: With the most wanted man in state history finally back in police custody, support from Ralph "Bucky" Phillips’ family, and in some cases, complete strangers, continued to anger law enforcement and baffle the public.
In the wake of Phillips' “guilty as hell” plea came investigations and scrutiny of the manhunt. Phillips, meanwhile, was sentenced to life in prison in Dec. 2006.
Behind bars, Phillips remains in solitary confinement and disputes much of the State Police's official version of the manhunt. He insists the "truth" will come out after two books he's working on are published.
During a visit with Phillips, the convicted cop killer made several accusations, and even a chilling admission when asked if he had any remorse for his actions during the "summer from hell."
