With the Buffalo Sabres at the unofficial halfway point of the season, defenseman Rasmus Dahlin talked with Greg Vorse about how he’s improving his game, where he'll be spending the All-Star break, and much more.

Dahlin: "We're on a good winning progress right now. So the last two weeks have been good. We’re just building from that I guess.”

Vorse: "For you, what do you do during the All-Star break as we try and find out where you'll be with that?"

Dahlin: "Me and a couple other guys are going to Jamaica. Refresh your mind, refresh your body, get some time off to come back and get even stronger and play better."

Vorse: "Let's build on that a bit. What fun things are you looking forward to and how important is it to hit that refresh button?”

Dahlin: "It’s very important. You play so many games, every other day, just thinking of hockey. It’s good to refresh your mind, it’s good sometimes, but not too often. Relax is probably the main thing."

Vorse: "For you, one thing I've noticed more at practice is being more vocal. We talked about it before the season started, we talked about you wanting to be more vocal. How is that going and how are you trying to keep that up?"

Dahlin: "I want to be a more important player so you have to be more vocal. I just try to improve all the things I can in my game. Try to be a better player and a leader, so I have to be vocal."

Vorse: "What are you working on the most right now to try and improve your game?"

Dahlin: "My overall game, I guess. Everything starts from the gap and comes into making the right plays. Trying to be a guy that the coaches can trust every single time."

Vorse: "For you lastly, just thoughts and expectations of what would you like to see out of these final 30-plus games?"

Dahlin: "We have to come back here and keep playing like we are right now, really good, really strong. We are playing a good defensive game, take our chances, and gotta make it every game and not every other."
